What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a complimentary and alternative therapy which addresses the principle that there are reflexes in the feet relative to each and every organ and all parts of the body. Stimulating these reflexes properly can help alleviate or resolve many health and emotional problems in a natural way.
It’s a natural therapy that can help boost the immune system and create a stronger body and calmer mind. It is widely acknowledged that 75% of all illness is linked to stress* and this is what we at the nmf clinic will seek to target.
Why should I have reflexology at the nmf clinic?
Our expert reflexologist, Liat D’elia uses a technique of applying gentle pressure to reflex areas on the hands and feet to bring about a state of deep relaxation and to stimulate the body’s own healing processes.
At the nmf clinic we treat a number of clients who are recovering from injury or living with arthritis, cancer, stress, hormonal imbalance and many other conditions.
Our reflexology treatment helps to support their body in responding positively to medication and surgery as well as nurturing them at an emotionally difficult time.
What can you expect during your first treatment?
The initial session will begin with taking your medical history and details of your diet and lifestyle. Our focus is on treating you as a whole person as well as any symptoms presented.
During each treatment, more than 7,000 nerves ending in the feet are worked to help create the necessary sense of balance and wellbeing. If that sounds intense, be assured it’s not. Your treatment will be gentle and intensely relaxing.
How does reflexology work alongside my GP/consultant’s treatment?
If you have pre-existing conditions, reflexology is a gentle and non-invasive treatment that you can safely enjoy alongside any conventional medical treatment.
There have been numerous research studies looking into reflexology and its effectiveness for treating a wide range of medical conditions.** Generally speaking the results are very positive and show that reflexology can help on both the physical as well as the emotional level.
We look forward to supporting you with our expert reflexology treatments. Contact us to arrange an initial consultation.
